Last day of Summer

Tomorrow morning we start school and usually I’m really excited to start school but for the first time I’m not stoked. But I’m pretty sure the majority of the reason that I’m not really excited has nothing to do with school and everything to do with John.

As soon as school starts it seems like that is when real life is going to kick in. These last 5 months we have spent together have been an amazing separate reality. We have played, loved, laughed, and played some more. We literally have spent every possible moment we possibly could together. With every day we have made more memories and have fallen deeper and deeper in love.

Now for the first time we will have less time to spend with each other because of school, studying, we both have jobs, callings, and my dancing. I’m anticipating it to be really hard to not be able to see John all the time but I’m hoping it won’t be as bad as I think. But I know we are strong and will make it through.

I love John with my whole heart and will fight everyday to keep us going and to make it work. He is an amazing man trying so hard to be and to encompass all the good he can into his life and others. I truly am more than lucky, I am so blessed to have John. I know I tell you all the time but I really and honesty do love you John Wilde.

14. do baptisms for the dead in a temple that neither of us have been to

Chelsie woke me up with a text that said, "I've got you today." With no further arguments, I simply consented to her will:). She told me to be ready with church clothes, casual clothes, and possibly running shoes. With only a bathing suit to spare from my entire wardrobe, she picked me up and we started heading north to a temple neither of us had been to. It was the Jordan Temple! It was really pretty inside and out!   P1010030

After that, she took me on this incredibly beautiful drive up to Albian Basin (a enchanting wildlife preserve in the summer months, and an epic ski resort during snow season.) Chelsie worked on her photography skills

while I worked on my God given modeling talents. P1010072We ran into Tyler up there and he told us about a short hike up to the Cecret Lake (secret lake, it's kinda sneaky) It was a great trail up to the lake with a lot of good photo ops.

Yeah, she's basically the best ever!

After that, she took me to Salt Lake--See 31. Conference Center Tour/Walk around the Temple

42. babysit for a day

We have now completed this task more than once. We ended up watching my sister’s kids Brooklyn and Carter for the whole afternoon while Tiffany worked at Costco. We played with the kids here at my apartment for a few minutes before we took them to the park by Kiwanis. They loved it! Brooklyn is adorable because she will start to do something or climb something and then get scared halfway up and then she’s like, “I don’t think this is a good idea for me, will you help me down.” It happened over and over again. And then there was Carter who even though he’s two years younger he just trekked up and down everything. A few times he would jump to something expecting me or John to catch and help him but he wouldn’t wait to see if you were watching or not. That kid is fearless! Next we went to see How to Train a Dragon at the dollar theater. That was great! We came home made food and just played until Tiffany came to get them. They can be crazy and rambunctious kids but they are so sweet and I love them so much!

DSC00693Brooklyn took these pictures! She loved it so much she just kept taking picture after picture and laughing until I finally took the camera away.   P1010012 P1010018

31. conference center tour/walk around temple square

So Chelsie decided to surprise me by taking me to the Salt Lake temple and Conference Center.P1010085 As we got there, we got so caught up in conversation that we just sat next to a beautiful fountain and talked and talked and talked! Unfortunately, when we finished it was beyond the time that they give tours at the conference center so we missed out. But we still enjoyed walking around temple square, admiring its beauty, admiring her beauty, and taking pictures. It was a very special experience, and one that neither of us will forget soon.P1010090

20. Cook together

Our cooking skills have gotten better and better as we keep trying new things. This is one of my favorite things to do with John! I absolutely love cooking and even cleaning up the kitchen with him. Who knew cleaning could be enjoyable. Then again John makes almost anything enjoyable!  So far we’ve made homemade pizza, minestrone soup, beef brisket, chicken pot pie and who knows what else! 38. take an afternoon nap is a hammock/trampoline

We’ve taken many naps together but one of them was out on my trampoline back in Washington. It was after everyone had gone to bed except us. We took blankets and a pillow out to the tramp and cuddled up underneath the stars. It was glorious! Soon enough we drowsily made our way back inside to our own beds.

13. go to Seattle

P1000961 Going back to Washington was a relationship changing trip! We loved every minute of it! From going to the beach, to spending time in Seattle, to going to the zoo, even simply staying at home and reading together! Every moment was spent with smiles on our lips and happiness in our hearts.  P1000962 P1000971 P1000966P1000997 P1000999 P1010001 P1010005

It was an especially great time getting to know Chelsie’s family better! We spent most of our time with them (usually playing, laughing, or eating great food!) and we never got enough. Her parents even took us on a “bike ride” which turned out to be a 27 mile torturous yet beautiful stretch of character. I think we both realized during this trip how great our relationship is and it definitely propelled us forward in love.

50. complete a thousand piece puzzle

P1010028 So John decided to leave me for 5 days and drive his brother out to Virginia for graduate school. So this is what I did while he was gone. Okay I can’t take all the credit, he did help me do the edge before he left.

34. hike the narrows

Words cannot describe how awesome this trip was! We went with Tyler, Brooke, Scott, Mike and Katherine. It was a first for all of us to hike the narrows and what an amazing first. We hiked 13 miles up and down through a huge slot canyon and we somehow managed to play frisbee the whole way up. Included jumping off rocks to catch the frisbee by a really cool lady. IMG_1708 And we took awesome pictures while parquoring all the way up and down all of our hikes. #1 conquer the world # 2 Little mermaid # 3 hippy meditation P1000958 IMG_1716 IMG_1718 Sometimes we got in over our heads but no worries nobody died while climbing up waterfalls. IMG_1739 This is up at Angels Landing which we hiking in 2 and a half hours and the normal hiker does it in 4. Overall we had a rocking good time!IMG_1799 IMG_1808
