Swimming in Heaven

Okay so Heaven might be a little far from the truth but only a little. Midway is basically a piece of Heaven! We took some of our nieces and nephews swimming up in Midway this past Saturday. My sister in-law Sara  just had twins and to top it off those twins are child # 5 and #6! There is no other way to put it, she is simply amazing. I felt like I was drowning with one child and she seems cool and collected with TWINS. She is so sleep deprived yet happy, patient, kind, and so loving to all of her children. She is an excellent example to me of what kind of mother I am striving to be. Anyways we took her oldest three children Emma, Mary, and Seth.

These three are so well behaved! We had a ton of fun playing in the water for a couple of hours and Anabelle loved it too!

Seth didn't want to come over for the picture so we took one by himself!

Next Baby Shower

I have more than a few friends who are pregnant. Alissa Gibb's baby shower was thrown the same week as Katie's baby shower. Her nursery is going to have a nautical theme so the shower was nautically themed. AHOY it's a BOY! I made the delectable sugar cookies. They turned out adorable right?!?! I'm still working on my picture taking skills so here they are! I also took a couple other pictures of the other decorations. Christina Pendleton threw the shower and did a great job.

Ready to POP - Baby Shower

Thank you to Katie Patty for having a beautiful baby boy in your belly so we could throw you this cute shower!
Here it is! I think it turned out great! Shout out to Brittney Lentz who helped me set everything up. Prep for these things seriously take FOREVER! I was preparing for at least 2 weeks in advance and then baking for like 3 days in advance. But it was worth all the hard work. Enjoy the cuteness and don't let your mouth water too much at the delicious food! And it was delicious!

Desert Table
My favorite part of any shower/party/gathering is the food and my favorite part of food is the dessert. Hence a table full of dessert! We had cake POPS, marshmallow POPS, oreo peanut butter fudge that I pretended were chocolate peanut butter POPs, loliPOPS, caramel POP corn, and bubble gum that goes POP!
My second attempt at cake bites and first attempt at cake pops. John was so sweet and helped me at 10pm to finish dipping these beauties so I could go to bed. Best part, he didn't even complain. Had to give him a shout out for all his help! Love my Johnny!
Ok, so I only did these because they were cheap, cute and matched the theme perfectly. But lets be honest, I didn't really want to eat any but there was a four year old child who L-O-V-E-D them. The leftovers I gave to a friend to take to her primary class the next day.
Thank you dollar store for having lollipops!

Here is the main food for the shower. We had chicken salad sandwiches that Katie's mom made and fruit POPs, which is just fruit on a skewer. Also thank you SO much to Brittney Lentz again for making that adorable diaper cake. You can't quite see from the picture but it had a bow tie (a real usable one she made), little shoes and a hat on it. Adorable and great decoration to add to the shower!
Party Favors
This table was my favorite part of the decoration for the shower. Thank you Jeremy Pendleton for getting Tina flowers for mother's day. They were an excellent addition.Thank you Katie for buying the cute plaque that happened to match the shower colors perfectly at the DI.
Adorable right! Guess how much they cost??? The boxes were 8 for a $1 at the Dollar Store and I made the circle printouts on power point at home then printed them on cardstock. So $3 in total plus the printing and paper of course.
Just look at that banner! I was so proud of how it turned out! I got the paper at Archivers. Who knew there was SOO much cute paper and options out there! Archivers let you use there di-cut machines when you buy something there so that's how I got the letters. I bought the rectangle paper just like that and used a baby bowl and cup to measure the circles.

Here she is! Mom to be!
There was a fabulous turnout of family and friends. She got all kinds of adorable clothes, bottles, blankets, other stuff and of course more clothes.

I forgot to take these pictures below until a lot of people had left so this is not everyone who was there.

I made everybody chew bubble gum and then try to blow a bubble and take a picture of it to go along with the Ready to Pop theme. It didn't quite turn out but it was fun trying! Here are the attempts!
LOVE Ashley and Tina in this one. Ash is pointing at Tina's successful bubble now popped!

Thank you to everyone who helped out and who came! It was a great shower with even better people!

Hiking/ Bath Time/ Isn't she cute?

Man pose...I wouldn't expect anything less from John
John and I are out of shape. In three weeks we are going on a backpacking trip to Havasupai with Dan and Janessa. Needless to say we have been trying to do something to get us more in shape so we don't DIE when we go on our trip. So on Saturday we decided that hiking the Y was a good idea. For anyone who has hiked the Y you know it is hard but doable without carrying a baby on your back. We started our journey up and after a few switchbacks we switched Belle from John to me and made it a few more switch backs. Sadly we didn't made it a little over halfway and then turned around. I would like to say it was all Anabelle's fault because she was getting fussy...but we all know both me and John wanted to turn around because we were tired!

My cute baby girl. Thanks Mom Wilde for the cute Hat!
The week after we hiked the Y we successfully hiked the whole way to and from Stewart Falls with Anabelle. She fell asleep in the pack on the way back. It was adorable. But we definitely need to get a better hiking backpack if we want to do more hiking with Belle. When she fell asleep we had to put a blanket behind her head to keep her head from bending backwards at what looked like to be a very uncomfortable angle. Every few minutes I would have to readjust the blanket, the pack and her head to make sure she was held tight to John's back. It was quite annoying and kept us from going very quickly.

Just look at this! I couldn't resist taking a picture because I thought this was so funny! Babies sure make every dull moment of your life dissapear and they fill it with all kinds of fun, light, and laughter! So glad we were blessed with this beautiful baby girl! Almost everynight after we've put Belle to bed John tells me, "Man, I just love that girl so much!" It's a good life!

These were taken at a Park near the riverwoods. It was a Sunday afternoon and we wanted to go on a walk! We ended up walking around this park and then sitting under the shade of a tree chatting. Sometimes it's the simplest things that make the best memories. I cherish all those times me and John have sat on that blanket our on the grass talking, laughing and getting to know each other better! Now we get to have Belle with us and just look how cute she is! Although all the picutres I have of her she looks like she is scowling....MOM why are you taking my picture....AGAIN!

Katie Patty Pregnancy Photo Shoot - Ready to POP

One of my close friends Katy Patty is Due July 5 or 6th....I can never remember which. I am hoping he is born on the Fourth of July! What little boy wouldn't want fireworks for their Birthday! Anyways I was preparing to throw her baby shower and I thought we should take some pictures of that adorable belly of hers to put up at the shower.

I know I'm not professional or anywhere close but I think some of the pictures turned out really cute! Her shower theme was...
Ready to POP!

Another post to come later with the pictures from the shower! And the pictures of the pictures at the shower! Be excited because it turned out REALLY cute!

Women's Trip 2013

Women's Trip has been a tradition on my mom's side of the family since my mom was a teenager. So almost 40 years! It started with my grandma and her sister and their daughters. Soon it grew into grown daughters and daughter in laws. Before long there kids had their own daughters and daughter in laws. A few years back we split for ease of planning and coordinating and now their are two groups. My Grandmother Whites and Aunt Shirley's. This year we happened to plan our trips on the same week! So we got together for lunch one day and reminisced and took pictures.

There are a few rules for Women's Trip. You have to be at least 16 and no babies allowed. Sometimes that means we miss someone one year, or they can only come for a day or two but they always make it back the next. Since we have been holding Women's Trip in St. George for years now quite a few traditions have developed. We shop, eat, read, sit by he pool, watch movies, and shop and eat! We always go to Brick Oven and usually the Pizza Factory. It really is an awesome tradition bringing the women in our family close. here are a few pictures of some of the fun!
1st Generation: My Grandma White and her younger sister  Auntie Shirley!
2nd Generation: The cousins! Both grandma's daughters

Graduation Time!

So proud! John graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors degree in Biology. It took his parents flying in town to convince John to walk. I wanted to make Anabelle a gown to because lets be honest...IT'S ADORABLE! I couldn't find a pattern anywhere so I made one from my cousins child pattern. I think it turned out really cute and she got SOOO many comments from all kinds of people at the graduation. The only problem was people didn't know if she was a boy or a girl.

Back to the husband. So proud of him finishing and learning so much! Because of his hard work he got into Western University of Health Sciences DO program finishing in 2017! I love you John and am so proud of all your accomplishments! You are the best decision I ever made!
